Hello Design Team 2 and a Blog Hop

Well Laura over at Creative Clear Stamps has released some new Holiday Styles stamps. Of course all of us could NOT wait to try them out.

I used this new design paper from basic grey and for some reason since the first time I saw this stamp set I wanted to do the cracked glass technique. I used regular embossing powder and I think I am going to look into getting some ultra thick and see if that has a better effect. The stamp set I used was Holiday Sentiments.

What I love about these stamps is the crisp image. Not all clear stamps are the same and some are super picky about their inks and what level of crispness they give. Not these. I was able to ink them up and use. And using the file technique even made it better!

BLOG CANDY!!! WOO HOO

Welcome....

Well can you believe in all of my stamps I had nothing that said "to the neighborhood"! I guess that means I am to go shopping :) OK probably not but I thought this would be cute with that!!!

I was striving towards simple. I love this color scheme together! Kraft, Black, and riding hood red. I colored the image with copics. This is a 5x5 square card. I love how those look! I think they are better for larger images like this one. I also distressed the edges of the red paper for a little more rugged look. This image is from Dog Gone Stamps and you can find it here.

Cuttlebug and Nesties Storage....

OK so awhile ago I was involved in a "bag lady swap" on Splitcoast and to be different the "bag I received was actually a close to my heart retired plastic stamp storage bin. She had decorated mine for cards. But once I started looking at it I realized it was THE perfect size for my cuttlebug dies and my nesties. And they would all be in one spot. Can't get any better than that. So here are the pics of my little project:
This is the clear bin without any decorations. I bought it off of e-bay cause I am using the pre-decorated one already.
This is the label I made for the front. I did it on the computer on cream cardstock. I used some designer paper that I have been hoarding (shocking, right?)
This is how I decorated the top so you couldn't see the CTMH logo. I used the new SU in color crushed curry ink. I love it!
I used the SU Tag punch to make my tabs. Here is what the top looks like:
Here is what one of the individual dividers look like: I rounded the corners and just put tabs. I have 16 sets of nesties, 14 CB embossing folders and 1 sizzix die and I still have a 3rd of the box to go for storage
Now I went to Home Depot and bought Magnetic vent covers. I was able to cut it with my rotary paper cutter and it is flexible enough. They came 3 per pack for 5.00. I was able to get 9 sets of nesties storage per pack. I still need to label each magnetic sheet and number the dies so I can make sure I don't lose any.
Here is one final shot of the storage all put together.
If you have any questions that I didn't answer, feel free to e-mail me or leave me a comment!

Fairy nice.....

I love fairy's and butterflies and just love to make them sparkly. Of course anything sparkly is SOOOOO freaking difficult to photograph. I used shimmerz on each of the prima flowers, her wings and her hair. As I was coloring her all I could think of was tinker bell and her pixie dust. Which is why I used shimmerz.
I used the script cuttlebug folder and used memento's plum ink and ran the ink lightly over the raised lettering. I colored her with copics. This stamp is by Dog Gone Stamps and you can find it here.

An Announcement....

Well, I have been wanting to share some wonderful news with all of you. Last week I received an e-mail that just about made my month. I have loved to do challenges and love getting inspiration. There have been moments that my mojo has been lost in the wind and challenges have brought me back. I was so excited when I received an email from Laura, owner of creative clear stamps, inviting me to be on her design team and hold the position of challenge coordinator. I am so excited to hopefully get some great challenges out there so you all can get inspired as well. I am so excited to get started and love that she has some new sets to get us through the holidays. I don't know about you, but I love to get new stuff inked up. To get prepared make sure you start following the Creative Clear Stamps Blog.

One of those days....

More like weeks. Whew I need a vacation filled with sand, surf, and lots and lots of margaritas. Preferably served by a cabana boy....hey my husband is in his recliner next to me getting served by his cabana girl.

School is in full force and I just finished week 4. I spent 3 hours today after school studying for an exam next week. And I havn't been sleeping well. I need to get ahead on stamping cause we are switching my stamp room to another room because it will be easier to get more organized in there (or is that somethins us crafters just tell ourselves when the supplies start forming an army and taking over!). I know once the move happens it will take weeks to get it back to how I want it. Although I think it will look better and give me more space.

Ever since I found Dog Gone Stamps this stamp has been my favorite. I knew I wanted to use this sentiment I have had for awhile. I found some design paper I have had in my stash since my scrapping only days and used scissors to cut "waves". I also used the new SU in colors! Lovin' them!

I will be making an announcement soon that may have a sweet treat for ya'll so stay tuned!!!! Also, World card making day is coming up...what are your plans?
