Creative Elegance~Challenge~

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful week. I want to say thank you to all who played in our last challenge. It was so much fun to see everyone's creations. OK so for the details:

This challenge is ALL about Elegance.

Think Black tie and evening gowns. That means you may use black, white, shades of grey and silver but absolutely NO other color. I used Family of strength.

I used basic black cardstock and some glittery design paper I have been hoarding. A little bit of ribbon and done. These are great when you need a with sympathy card, get well, or thinking of you. They can be mass produced and that way you can always have them on hand.

OK now for the fun stuff! We want you to play along! Get some inspiration and show us your creativity!!! Of course their are rules. You must be a Creative Clear Stamps follower (super easy! Beautiful You...

Are you shocked that I have had this verve sentiment set for a while and this is the first time it has been inked up!!! I used the very adorable Frog King from Dog Gone stamps. I thought the sentiment would be very cute with this little guy. He was very fun to color. I colored him with copics and I used the new stampin up in colors for the paper.

I'm Pretty......

Couldn't resist. But I have been working with some new Paper Pretties stamps lately and I wanted to show you my favorite of the 3 I did last night (don't worry you will see them all).

I cuttlebugged the card base with the snowflakes folder and colored her with copics. I also used some white fun flock for her little hand muff and ear muffs. fuzzy and soft and cute. I also had this really cool metallic shiny silver cardstock (only one sheet so I have to find more) and thought it would be fun to layer the white and navy. I love navy and silver for Christmas cards!!!

TGIF.....Martini Time

I love this stamp set from Dog Gone Stamps. It is a super cute Martini glass set. The best part is each martini glass is it's own perfectly cut image so you can decide to use one, or all of them. And it went perfectly with this design paper I bought almost a year ago from Michaels. It makes me think of cosmos and sex and the city!
This is how we should all enjoy our Fridays!

Creative Scallops~Challenge~Tutorial~

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful week. I want to say thank you to all who played in our last challenge. It was so much fun to see everyone's creations. Well today not only are you getting a challenge but a tutorial as well!
OK so for the details:
This challenge is ALL about Scallops.
This could be in the form of a border punch, die cuts, edges, stamped images, anything with a scallop. I used scallops on mine but I also used the faux silk technique. I used Girl's" Weekend. This was one set I HAD to have. I still have girls night at my house and we do girls weekends. I could see so many things to use this set for.

The above picture is everything I used for my project. A scoring tool, tissue paper, the already pre-cut cardstock and of course mod podge.I scored my cardstock. This card is a 5x5 card. One of my favorite size cards to make!!!!
Ink and stamp your images onto tissue paper, be sure to have something underneath (I prefer to stamp on some blank printer paper). The ink will bleed through the tissue paper. (If you use an outline image stamp in black and then color the image.)
Crumple the tissue up a few times, careful not to tear it. You can smooth it now or smooth it onto your image. You do not want to smooth to much as the “wrinkles” are what makes it look like silk.Using a small sponge brush, apply mod podge over the entire surface of the neutral card stock. You may also use a glue stick but you will want to make sure the glue dries clear.
Carefully place your tissue over the top of your neutral cardstock and smooth down. You will want to expect a few bumps and wrinkles. That is OK! It makes it look like silk.Allow to dry for a few minutes and then use scissors to trim off the excess tissue, or you can cut you new “silk” cardstock to size and finish your card.My scallops was the punch! I was thinking about making the edge scalloped but though that would be overkill. Now that you've seen mine you know it could be as many scallops as you want or just a hint of scallops.

OK now for the fun stuff! We want you to play along! Get some inspiration and show us your creativity!!! Of course their are rules. You must be a Creative Clear Stamps follower (super easy! Creative Texture~~Challenge~~

Hi all! Today is the day for our first challenge ever! Are you as excited as I am? OK so for the details:

This challenge is ALL about texture.

Give your card that little something extra. This could be in the form of fabric, embossing, distressing, etc. You just want to be able to "see" the texture. I made two different project with this showing the new holiday sets. This used Holiday Sentiments. I wanted to try to make different kinds of cards and I have this great design paper that is embossed with glitter. I made regular A2 sized cards backs (4.25x5.5) and I used adhesive to put down the strip of design paper and then placed the die over the card and was able to cut through the folded cardstock. I now have mini Christmas note cards and this will make the perfect bulk thank you gifts or if you have a lot of cards to send out you bulk produce this project and make a lot of cards fast.

The above card uses turquoise. I love different color Christmas cards! They are always so unique. This card is pretty shimmery in real life but of course you can not see in the picture.

The above card Is embossed around the edges and the Christmas trees are also glittery and embossed as well. These cards were fun to make and I am thinking of making a lot of these to include with Christmas gifts.

OK now for the fun stuff! We want you to play along! Get some inspiration and show us your creativity!!! Of course their are rules. You must be a Creative Clear Stamps follower (super easy! Just click Here and click follow in the side bar) And of course you will have a chance to shine. Post your creation using the mr. widget on the CCS Blog. You don't have to use Creative Clear Stamps for the first one but of course it is always a bonus if you do! You have until Sunday Night at 8pm cst (9pm eastern, 6pm pacific). Make sure you post on Splitcoast using keywords CCS1
I want to know what you would like to see as challenges! Feel free to leave a post with suggestions! Enjoy!
