I am sooooo sorry I am late today with this post! his week has been INSANE! I started a a local University this week and I planned on taking care of all last minute details on Monday. Oil change, grocery shopping, looking at the map of the HUGE campus to figure out where to park and to figure out where my classes were located. While at the dealership waiting for the car to be completed I was passing time on Facebook and I saw a post about the university welcoming students back for the first day of classes. WHAT?!? School started on Tuesday it was marked IN INK on my calendar I was all planned out! I called the University and NOPE classes actually started that day. OH MY! So My car was completed and I rushed home and through a few things in my backpack and ran out the door to drive to school (about an hour away) and it really was a sink or swim moment for me! I was about 15 minutes late for my first class and 20 minutes late for my second class and it was a VERY insane day. I really hit the ground running and feel like I haven't stopped since!
OK so that has been my crazy week and that is why I am late posting!

Here is my card featuring the fight like a girl a la mode by My Favorite Things. his is just a simple card! I made this for a friend of mine that will be celebrating a year in remission on Tuesday.

Hi All!

Hope you are staying warm as the cold weather is coming in! I will keep this short and sweet today !
I used the adorable Willow with a cocktail! She was super fun to color and she inked up so clean and it was such a nice impression. I was really impressed with that! Some stamps I have to stamp a few times to get a perfect impression and this one was the first shot! I used some design paper from my minds eye and I kept this really clean. I did not add a sentiment yet because I am not sure what I might use this for in the future. Of course she was colored with my copics!

It has been such a busy, busy week here! I enjoyed my vacation so much from school but this last week I have been making sure I have everything ready to be able to start school this next week. It is hard to get back into school mode! I have been enjoying being a bit lazy and I cleaned my stamp area.

Part of my vacation has been working ahead. And I mean WAY ahead! I have my images colored for all design team projects through March!. and I've had my January projects completes since the first week. I am putting this in print because this is the FIRST time that has ever happened. This is usually my intention all the time though :)

OK so for this weeks project:

If you couldn't tell I am completely IN LOVE with this MFT A LA MODE! I have used this for a welcome baby, a seasons greeting and a get well soon card! It really comes down to the sentiment so have fun with all the different images! I layered this a lot and stamped the bear twice. once on copic paper to color and the other on Cosmo Cricket Design Paper for the bow and I used pop dots to layer it all. the twill ribbon, brads and dies are all from my stash!

I loved being on their design team but I have many, many crafty things that weren't getting much love and this is my first semester at a University so I really want to make sure that what design/craft commitments and school commitments were done with as much effort as I possibly could! Uptown Girls Calendar Page

Hi all! I was at one of the big chain stores over the holidays and they had a bunch of 2012 calendars and these 12x12 picture frames. I thought it would be a cute idea to make a calendar page for each month and then I can write any info on the calendar. My plan is take photos throughout the month and do a 2 page layout following each month. I thought this would be an abbreviated version of that Project life I have been seeing everywhere. Before I commit to documenting weeks and days I need to see if I can do a short month in a view first.

I used the super adorable Uptown Girls by Stamping Bella. I colored them in and cut them out. I then Tsukineko Shimmer Spritz! OMGosh am I in love with this stuff. I use a lid to an old shoe box and spritz away. there is sooooo much glittah and bling in one little spritz. It seriously made my heart sing with joy!

Hi! Hope you guys are having a fabulous January so far :) I am on vacation from school until the 24th of this month so I am trying to get my stamp room/office/hubby's office all clean and organized so as soon as school starts I can keep up on my design commitments and study and not be surrounded by boxes! I am proud that I am getting rid of sooo much stuff and that I actually can find the stuff I am keeping. OK enough chit chat!

I was able to find some time to join in the MFT Guest Designer contest found HERE. The challenge was to Paper Piece! So much fun! I have really liked the look of cutting out layers and creating dimension so I have been doing that a lot lately. Plus I LOVE the a la modes! They are adorable! I used Oh Baby on my project.

I had my image all colored up but I wanted to wait to complete my card until my package of fabulous dienamics arrived!!! I stocked up with the MFT after Christmas sale!

I stamped the image on neenah white paper and colored with copics. The design paper is from Cosmo Cricket-Material Girl-In Stitches. I used the Open Bracket border dienamic and the mini tab quartet die. Can I just say that the mini tab collection is a MUST HAVE!!!! I love it cause it fits soooo many sentiments! The sentiment is from MFT Who's That Girl Rain or Shine. The sentiment is actually straight but I punched out the tabs and used it as a guide to curve the clear stamp on the acrylic block. It was a perfect fit! I love that this image doesn't just have to be a baby card!

A quick tip! If you would like a layering mat for your mini tab sentiment layer then take a pencil and trace around the die and cut it out! Worked perfectly here!

OCS January Challenge.....

Hi all! Happy, Happy New Year! 2012 is going to be great!!! Lots of fun stampy time ahead!

This months fabulous challenge is to use Red, White and one other color. I kinda cheated cause I colored my sunflower with oranges and yellows :) The other color that I did pick was pink. This card is pretty thick because the main layer is popped up on the white base, the nestie cut outs are popped up on that layer, la la rosie is cut out and popped up and I stamped, colored and cut out a 2nd flower and that is popped up on the original. I really like how that adds dimension and it is such a cute card and image!

Hi All!

Can you believe Christmas is already here!?!? I swear it was just summer and we are already a week away from 2012. I hope everyone is finding some time to get crafty during all of the holiday rush!

For today's card I slid in one more Christmas card for the season! I love these a la modes stamps from My Favorite Things. They are so easy to stamp (a crisp, clean impression on the first try!) and super fun to color and the images have bold lines which makes it easy to paper piece (I did that to the bear). I also used some of the fun Lime Twist Twine! The paper is from My Minds Eye!

ME! The last 2 weeks have been insanely busy! Had a wonderful, relaxing Thanksgiving break from school and I really should have caught up on a lot of things because as soon as that Monday hit I have been running ever since. Only 2 weeks of regular classes and then finals week and it seems like every single thing in all of my classes is do this Monday! This last week I have been up until about 3 am every night studying and getting work done and only have been getting about 5 hours of sleep. I swear when this semester is OVER I am going to sleep 18 hours and watch nothing but holiday movies from Lifetime!

OK so this is a little belated but this is my holiday card I made for the One Crazy Stamper Challenge for December. Still plenty of time to enter as long as its by December 30th.

I used the super adorable Tabitha! i wanted to try some traditional colors and a bit of a vintage look. I used some early espresso ink to sponge around the design paper and I used my distresser to distress the black layer. I also used some lace I have been hoarding!

Hi All!! Well I tried to brave the stores for all of the spectacular deals but only did one! One Crazy Stamper has the right idea by giving us GREAT DEALS but from the comforts of our own home! I love that! AND to top it all off I spied some new stuff in the store that is on my Christmas list to Santa this year! Especially some of the new Kraftin Kimmies and My Favorite Things!

I love the a la mode collection by My Favorite Things and they really became one of my favorite new collections! They are so fun and fresh and of course great to color! I used Oh Baby for today's card.

All of those baby showers I had in October and November are expecting their babies in December so I needed some welcome baby cards. I had these ribbon charms in my stash for years and I am really trying to use what I have cause I HAVE soooooo much stuff that I can't find my way around it all. Hope you all can find some crafty time this weekend!

Hi All! I have another card featuring the always adorable Caroline!!! I saw a super cute color scheme that had poppy, pear and marina mist and I thought I would try it to make an unconventional baby card. Still lots of blue for baby boy but not all blue :)

I also used some girly rhinestones too! This is part of the Kraftin Kimmie #100 challenge where you use your favorite stamps and since this is baby season (or so it seems). I used the sentiment from Stampin Up.

Kraftin Kimmie GD Contest and Tutorial

Hi All!!! I have a super cute tutorial/altered project to show you!!! I was very nervous about altering this because I am so new to altering stuff and I have held on to this cork board (that I found at the Dollar Store) because I wanted the perfect project! Well Kraftin Kimmie is having a guest designer challenge and that was a must for me to join in. The challenge was for us to use our favorite Kimmie stamp. I had to chuckle cause their was NO WAY i could use just one!

I got all of these adorable images from One Crazy Stamper

OK so I started with just a simple cork board with a wood frame.

The size of the cork board frame was 12x 8.25. I cut the paper a little less then that and played with the trimming until I could fit it.

This is what it looks like when it fits in and I slid it under the frame part.

I cut strips for the edge of the frame

I had to cut off corners so it would be easy to fold over

I used the one I cut to stencil lines on all of the other strips

I used sticky tape and I placed the strips on the edge of the slits. You may notice that the strips are longer and that is so I can fold it over for a clean look.

Here is a look of the sticky tape on the edge of the frame. Scor Tape was used!

I used some chipboard letters to place to do on the top and you can see how all the paper is folded over the edge of the frame. I also used glue dots to place a strip of ribbon to be able to hang this. (you'll see this in the pictures below) You also get a peek at my little list helpers.

Here's all of them in the scalloped border that holds them all at the bottom. This way I can change out my kimmies with what my mood is!

Halloween Greetings

Hi All! This has been a fabulous month to be a One Crazy Stamper follower!!! I have you seen all of the blog candy???? It is a blog candy bonanza! Make sure you join in on all of the fun to get your share of the goodies!

OK so for my project I wanted to make clean and simple Halloween greetings. Clean and simple is not my strong suit and also one sheet cards are REALLY not my strong suit so I challenged myself to really try because I had this idea in my head since I saw these two stamps in the Your Next Stamp September release.

I used Spooky Hello and Spooktacular.

I used Versamark Ink to stamp the image and embossed with Black detail embossing powder. For some reason no matter what I do to the paper (embossing buddy, fabric sheet) I can never get the image as crisp as I would like.....there is always stray powder! Any suggestions?

After I heat embossed I used the copic air compressor and airbrushed around each image and then stamped the saying in the bottom.

I received this cool adhesive paper ribbon a long time ago but never used it so I thought I would break it out and use it here to give it a little something!

I have some AWESOME news!!!! One Crazy Stamper is NOW a a brick and mortar store BUT no worries they still have fabulous deals online at the online store!

And there is a fabulous release since we were chosen to be the release store for Your Next Stamp! There are so many wonderful images to play with! I am a huge fan of Christmas, fall and Halloween themed stamps so this was right up my alley. I made something a little out of my comfort zone but I am super proud and happy how it turned out!

Woo Hoo Another whatnot challenge!!! This one was really fun! made me jump put of my comfort zone and try colors I usually don't use! We were to use primary colors.....had to think for a second wayyyyyy back to grade school and primary colors are the colors you mix to get other colors :) they are the 3 basic colors: Red, Blue and Yellow! I had to break out some of the brilliant blue from stampin up that retired awhile ago that I hoarded!

Today is my 30th birthday and instead of worrying about getting older I have decided to look to the future as an adventure and have made a list:

30 things to do in my 30’s

1. Try to make dirty dozen design team

3. Get to goal weight

4. Learn healthy habits to stay at goal weight

5. Try one daring/unusual/out of the box thing a month

6. Try to do as many stamp challenges as possible

7. Keep a 3.5 GPA or higher through graduation

8. Work on my French and try to be fluent

9. Learn sign language

10. Complete wedding/Disneyland/Paris/cruise scrapbooks

11. Work on settling my past and to move forward

12. Start a family

13. Travel to Europe as many times as I can

14. Travel to New York

15. Complete my PhD in History

16. Buy a house

17. Work on being a better friend

18. Take cooking lessons

19. Become a teacher

20. Make decisions my children can look up to (when I have them)

21. Rescue more dogs

22. Volunteer more

23. Become more outgoing

24. Be a better wife

25. Try to show my family how much they mean to me in both actions and words

26. Try to use more of what I already have instead of adding to the clutter

The last image is a poem that my high school economics teacher handed out on the last day of school of our senior year. I have looked at this poem many times over the last 12 years and it still resonates with me! It is called comes the dawn.

Hey all! OK so I have not stamped in over a month (Pause for gasp). Yes, you heard me correctly...a month! We moved so I had to pack up my stamp room and we downsized so I no longer have my own room like I had before but I share my stamp space with my husbands now defunct man cave. To put this into perspective four years ago I met my husband and I had just started this hobby and when I would come and visit him on the weekends (we lived an hour from each other) I would bring ALL of my stamp stuff with me and that fit into a rolling case and almost a year later when we moved in together I was still stamping out of a cardboard box in our dining room. then we moved and I had my own room. 2 and a half years later I am back to sharing but now my husband has 1/4 of this room and the closet and I have 3/4's of the room with wall to wall shelving. As we were unpacking he looks at me and says "what happened to the cardboard box???" Neither of us realized how much I have accumulated until we had to pack and unpack it all! the reason for my story is because of the smaller space it was harder to find boxes to be able to stamp so i was putting it off and putting it off until (gasp again) I had a card due this weekend and I had no idea where my ink was packed let alone where my stamps were. they have been safely rescued and I was able to put my desk together enough. I still have boxes to go through and lots and lots of stuff to organize. I also have realized stamping is like almost anything and you need to practice and I realized that as I was a tad rusty with this project!

UGH I am rusty! I used Stamping Bella Lulu's morning fix! ADORE this image! I also was lucky enough to receive a HUGE box of yummy stuff from the store! My birthday is Sunday and since it is a biggie (the BIG 3-0) I told hubby all I wanted was an excessive allowance to spend on whatever stamp stuff I wanted. After the above conversation he looked at me kinda crazy but agreed and I ran, not walked, to the store site to take full advantage of the Summer Sizzler sale!!! My order arrived yesterday and I was pulling out soooooo much stuff! I stocked up on my lala's, kraftin kimmies, and nesties! hurry and take advantage now because these prices are simply fabulous!

Sometimes there is a card that turns out better then you pictured it in your head! this was definitely one of those! I loved coloring this sweet image and I don't use very many circles and I love the cards I have been seeing with half circles! Wanted to use different colors since I have been on a purple and pink kick lately and figured some nice soft greens, yellows and blues would be perfect!

I love this poppy cling stamp from Hero's!!! It really creates some adorable projects!

On kraft cardstock I stamped the script in kraft and then I used Versamark to stamp the poppy stamp and I heat embossed with clear powder. I then used ruby red ink and a sponge to rub it to create the flower. Finished with some twine and a little thank you tag.

Krafty Challenge with Agnes!!!

Woo Hoo I received some new goodies in the mail from Lora and I could not wait to play! have you checked out the Kraftin Kimmie section of the store lately??? OMGosh there are some new fairies, and some fun girls that are just like us!!! Some stuff is even marked lower then the super low prices that are already in place! This is one of my absolute favorites and as soon as I saw her I HAD to have her....This is exactly who I want to be, well, except for hand mixing. That is where my cherished Kitchen aid comes in handy.

I had to join this weeks Kraftin Kimmie Krafty challenge. Bad news tho! I am running supper low on Kraft paper...UGH! I love this paper! looks like I need a shopping trip STAT! Enjoy and visit Kraftin Kimmie here for more info on the challenge!

Isn't she adorable! I had this fun vintage looking scrap Design Paper in my stash and it has ingredients for a recipe so I HAD to use it. Agnes is colored with copics (shocker, right?). I finally upgraded my trimmers so it was a lot easier to trimming her.

Hi all! Well I do have a card but it is not photographed, edited or even on my computer and things have been so super busy that I looked at today's date and was like OH **** I forgot to post. I did not want to mess up the super fun blog hop so here is my little post and card!!! SOOOO SORRY it is sooooo late!!!!!

I did end up case'ing myself cause I love this stamp soooo much and I don't usually get to touch my pretty stamps!!

Glassy Glitta birthday

On this card I used some of the Art Institute glitter that is actually REAL glass! a teeny bit of a safety hazard BUT looks so edgy which I thought fit this super cute Stamping Bella image. This line of stamps are Kettos and I admit I don't own many but I DO love them!!!

So masculine cards are hard for me but I love how this one turned out. Love the colors together! Of course Paper Pretties Digi's are getting better and better! Dontcha agree?

This Hula guy was super fun to color!!!! I left this one blank so I could make it a birthday or a way to go card. Love having that option sometimes!!!

OCS April Challenge brings flowers!

Hi All! I am back from vacation and have been under the weather. We came home with nasty colds and I also have a sinus and ear infections on top of that. YUCK!

This months challenge over at One Crazy Stamper is to use flowers! I used Pink Cat Studio Birds make a cupcake and OMGosh this stamp is super cute! make sure to join us this month for the challenge. I am keeping this short today so I can take some more day-quil and watch some more daytime TV.

This is a super fun image and perfect for some fun and fast Easter cards!!! I used my glitter pen on a few eggs to add some sparkle and used some fun rhinestones around the sentiment for some extra dimension. I usually don't do simple cards like this but I am thinking I might mass produce this card for a quick family Easter card.

Hi all. As previously mentioned I am pre posting and finally enjoying some quality time with my hubby!!! Today, tuesday we are supposed to be arriving in Cabo for 2 days. I will be sure to share some pictures when I get home!

Now on to share a super cute, super new Digi from Paper Pretties. I was at wal-mart the other day and saw a pack of doilies for 1.00 (30 in there!!) so I bought them cause I really wanted to try them on a card and OMGosh what a wonderful affect. I bought it this last weekend and I had to use two different patterns which I usually stay away from but I love how it turned out! Love this image!!!

I have been talking a lot lately how I want some fun spring weather and not this yucky, rainy, winter weather so I had to do something about it. This week you will See some posts from me but they are ALL pre-posted! I am on a much needed vacation with my family and a belated honeymoon for my husband and I. Today (Saturday) we are spending the day at Disneyland in southern California and tomorrow we head to long beach to get on a cruise ship for a week in Mexico. I am ready for fun and sun! I love how this card turned out! The hair turned out exactly how I envisioned cause I wanted a typical reddish Irish hair. love this new paper I picked up last weekend and this sketch was super fun!

If you can tell from most of my posts this year I am a huge fan of all things Kraftin Kimmie and The Greeting Farm. This is an adorable image from the greeting farm and the sentiment from Stampin Up was perfect for this! I love how clean and simple this is with the image as the focal point. This is part of my collection so when someone needs a card I have on hand....I am trying to build that collection up a lot! Enjoy!

Kraftin Kimmie Sketch

Hi all! Well I wanted to make one last PINK card for the challenge that we are hosting over at One Crazy Stamper! Also I had to submit this card for the weeks sketchy Kraftin Kimmie Challenge!

I didn't have a circle cutter so I made my own kinda circle with my oval nestabilities. I also tried to make it a little more vintage by roughing up the edges. Love this cute lil Abigail Apple!

This weeks challenge over at Kraftin Kimmie's Challenge Blog was a super cute recipe challenge. 3 main colors (mine were Red, Pink and Yellow), 2 Design Papers (I have 2) and 1 ribbon and 1 button. Josephine was super fun to color and I used a lot of pink which is what this months One Crazy Stamper challenge!
