Just a quick Post

Wanted to show you all a new bella card I had made. I meant to enter this for a contest on splitcoast and of course I made it in plenty of time but forget to ever post it but I was still pretty proud of how this turned out. I used colors that are definitely not in my safety zone! I used Prisma colors pencils and OMS to color her in. I also really love this ribbon and this was a gift from my big sister in Round 1 of Design Secret Siblings

Have a Fairy Nice Day!

I wanted some fairy images to play with and I received some on the WRAK group and colored this pretty litte fairy in. I also used my NEW sakura glitter pen and some new primas I bought this last weekend. Of course I sed my swiss dots folder and I used my nestabilities! I had a nice litte shopping trip at 2 stores and stayed well within my budget. I know that is not something us stampers are used to saying. I showed my darling BF and he said "That's within budget?" Why looking at me as if I am crazy.....If he only new what the budget was :)

BLOG winner!!!

Sorry I am running a little late! I was not feeling to well last night but that DI NOT stop me from going to a stampin up party :) I ordered the new fresh cuts set at a friends part and I can not wait to get it in....

OK now on to the good stuff. I used Random.org to pick my winner and it choose winner number 2

Color challenge and NEW watermark!

Well this is my first color challenge over on Splitcoast The colors are Whisper White, Taken with teal and Wild Wasabi. I never would have thought to do these colors together. I did not have taken with teal paper so I used tempting turquoise and I am so glad I did. I am really pleased with how this came out. I used the Paper Pretties Cuddle Me Sophia stamp and used the paper piecing techniques for her dress (used the SU design paper for tempting turquoise). I so plan on getting taken with teal and actually doing this card the way it is "supposed" to be.

I also have decided to start using a supplies list at the bottom of the blog so you can find the items I used. Also, hope you like the new watermark :)

Supplies

Stamps: Sophia-Cuddle Me (Paper Pretties) Circle stamp from Paper Pretties

Cardstock: Stampin’ Up Wild Wasabi, Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White

Ink: Stampin’ Up Certainly Celery and Memories Black Ink

Patterned Paper: Tempting Turquoise DP from SU

Ribbon: misc ribbon from Michael's

Other: CB Swiss Dots Folder, Scalloped Circle punch SU, Rectangle Nestabilities, Ticket Corner Punch, 1 1/4 Circle Punch, pop dots

New Riley

This little guy is from Hanna Stamps! I received him as part of the Wish RAK forum over on splitcoast and used my prismacolor pencils and BABY OIL! Yes I said Baby Oil. This is a little technique I read about over on splitcoast and it turns out so pretty. Thinking of using this as a Birthday card. My boyfriends birthday is coming up and I need to make him an extra special card so I am hoping I can find just the right one!

I also Used the Nestabilities and the photo corner punch on this card. I love how the embossed edges look!

Bella Birthday Card

My mom's birthday was earlier this month and I wanted to make a super cute card for her. I had just received a packet of the tempting turqoiuse desgn paper and I new I had to use it! This is what I came up with for something cute and simple.

I used watercolor p[encils for the coloring technique. I just love how this paper looks. This has now become one of my favorite paper packs and now I feel like I NEED to have it

I love rub ons right now and have been stocking up on them! I found a pack that has great ones for sentiments on the inside of cards and they look so good! This is the one I used for the inside of my mom's card.

I also received groovy Guava design paper so I also made the same card in that color so I would have an extra card because there are sooooo many summer birthdays!

This is a new bella image I received to play around with and had to use my nestie since I finally got the tan mat to emboss with.
I love how the nestabilities leave that nice crisp emboss around the edges. it just adds a little something extra. I used markers and watercolor pencils to color this
